Jennifer Thiel joined NSU's faculty in August 2010. She has an M.S.Ed. in mathematics education from the University of Texas Arlington, Arlington, Texas, and an M.S.Ed. degree in teaching and learning, B.S.Ed. in mathematics, middle school math endorsement and music minor from NSU.

Thiel specializes in investigating students' mathematical learning process and how that process impacts their attitudes towards mathematics.
